New Phone Sony Ericson W810i?

We only get sound from 1 speaker on the provided headphones, is this normal or due to how the music is stored on the walkman part of the phone. Do we need to go back to the shop and get a replacement?

I have had two of these phones for a year and they are great phones but the head phone system is $hit in general but i always got sound out of both back to the shop i am afraid
