how to turn speaker off on panasonic phone?

I have a cordless Panasonic speaker phone handset and i am able to turn the speaker on but i don't know what to press to turn it off..can someone help me?

I have a Panasonic KX-TGA541 phone and it works to press the "TALK" button (the one with the phone receiver icon). Basically, the TALK button and the speaker phone button do the same thing except that TALK routes the sound to the headset speaker and SP PHONE routes it to the speaker. You can switch between them by pushing the appropriate button.

At last...

Trying to work out how to turn off the speakerphone has been driving me slightly nuts for ages - thanks for the solution (always thought that pressing the phone icon button would just cut me off)

Yay!!! Thank you. I've been frustrated with my chordless phone forever because I couldn't get it off speaker and it doesn't have a jack for a head set.
