If freedom of religion is a right in America, surely freedom of Stupidity is

also a right? And why on earth do you think that people you percieve as "Stupid" (therefor Christians like me) should not be allowed to vote?

Doesn't this go against your freedom for all agenda?

I wouldn't call the Freedom To Be Stupid a "right".

I also wouldn't demand any sort of IQ test as a prerequisite to voting.

That having been said, Freedom For Stupidity also requires that the government provides Freedom FROM Stupidity -- just like freedom of religion also provides for freedom FROM religion. Which is why I gladly paid taxes for public education, even before I ever became a father -- as I often say here: I have a vested interest in there being as few ignorant, irrational people on the planet as possible.

In addition, the Founding Fathers DID intend for the vote to be in the hands of those who were informed enough and civic-minded enough to use that power wisely and for the general good -- which is why it's limited to adults, non-felons, etc.

And I believe one could make a strong case that people who firmly believe that the world is going to end in the next 50 years, and that the end of life on Earth will be a GLORIOUS thing (something like 40-50% of Christians) are NOT going to make decisions that are in the best interest of a sustainable government or economy.

I may disagree with everything you appear to stand for- but I'm sticking by my first answer.

    Those are some nice tatas.

Yes, yes, freedom of stupidity is a right. The freedom to mock stupidity is also a right.

Of course if we could have freedom FROM religion in America we would be a lot freer from stupidity.
