    can i bypass my netgear router and use my modem to connect to the internet?

    internet light on router is orange. i have searched the www for a solution but have been unable to find one. also rang service provider and they have told me it is a problem with my computer so would i be able to connect to the internet using just my modem and how would i go about it?

    If you would like to connect to the Internet using just your modem, you should unplug your modem from your router and plug it directly into your computer using an Ethernet cable or perhaps a USB cord if your router has the port for one.

    Before you switch from your router to your modem, perhaps you should try resetting it by unplugging it for about fifteen seconds or so and then plugging it back in.
