Sorry i'm just a beginner in using iTunes

Okay. so where can i get songs from the internet? can i use music sites like imeem? and transfer them to iTunes?

If i can't, where can i get songs? And pls.tell me how to transfer the song from the "website" to iTunes? and from iTunes to an iPod.

My brother has an iPod shuffle and i was just borrowing it for a while. My brother doesn't know how to get songs because he asks our dad who is abroad who knows how to do everything im asking right now.
