pioneer kuro plasma...whats wong with it?

my tv turns itself off every so often, i think it goes into standby and i have to turn it off and on again, this can happen 3 or 4 times a day, ive checked the sleep timer settings and energy saving mode but thats all ok so what could be the prob? p.s its connected to sky+hd via hdmi...

If it's turning itself off for no reason mid way through a programme then it has a fault and you should call out an engineer, hopefully the Kuro will still be under guarantee

There shouldn't be anything in the sky+hd that's causing it to turn off so I think you can rule that out.

I have sky hd on my panny 42 and it's never made the screen switch off.

firstly its a pioneer so its cr.p but it may be overheating and have a thermal cut out ,i would take it back and buy a sony instead
