How to unlock 3G iPhone ?

Can I unlock my new 3g iPhone and how exactly can I unlock it? I know that I can unlock 2G iPhone but am not so sure it will work for an 3g iPhone.

Yes, u can use the sim unlock, and it wouldnt rein ur warranty.

It voids the warranty on the iPhone if you do this.
