Has the glory in war gone?

What i mean is my Grandfather tells me storyies of his time in Normandy during WWII, and my uncle tells me of what he did in the Falklands, but they both riducal the soilders in Irag. I would love to fight for my country, but has the glory and 'rightness' of war gone? and wil their ever be a war like WWII again?
