How to convert downloaded file divx to avi?

I watched a video stream through the internet.
It plays on a divx player.
When i open my divx folder.
There is a subfolder called temporary downloaded file.
When i open the subfolder.
It contains the video stream in divx format that i watched.
Is it possible to convert that file into avi and save it in the computer?
