MMA training and i've GAINED weight?

i just started cage fighting training, because i've always liked MMA and watching UFC. my question is, after almost a month of intense MMA training with almost constant heart rate maintenance, i've actually gained about ten pounds. if i need to add details about what we do at training, let me know.

Muscle weighs quite a bit more than fat. As you train you gain muscle weight as you lose fat. It's a good thing.

Most work outs for MMA are very intense. you burn a lot of calories and do a lot of heavy lifting and muscle building activities. Your training has probably helped you to burn your body fat and transform it into muscle. Since muscle weighs more than fat it is very common to gain weight, it is actually better to weigh more and have a lower body fat percentage then it is to weigh the same and have a high body fat percentage, it just means you have more muscle. don't be alarmed its a good thing you are putting on weight like this.

muscle weighs more than fat...by volume that is, because a pound of fat is bigger in size than a pound of muscle (because duh, a pound of anything is equal in weight to a pound of anything else...I just worded that weird...)
