    will i get faster internet speeds by upgrading my G router to N without upgrading my

    G adapter? i am using a linksys WRT54g, and considering WRT160N

    My Desktop Adapter is wmp54g

    might be but the same kind of devices tend to perform more effectively

    Generally no, although you may find the range extended and some formerly marginal signal areas that may only have connected at 11M may now connect at 54M.\

    Nope you will not get faster internet speeds, that is determined by your provider, and the odds are good that no matter what wireless protocol you use, the wireless protocol will be faster than the internet connection.
