it is illegal to rip any dvd that contains copyrighted material. this also means dvds that you own as well as dvds that you rent

government says it is illegal, but no one will find out if you do not sell it, like, i know it is illegal, but some people rip Cd's and it works on their ipods, my teacher says that everyone does it, but no one will find out, so i think if you want to take a small risk, it is kind a okay as long as no one knows and tells the police, but keep it to yourself. But remember, technically it is illegal.
