The "space" button on my new Blackberry Curve doesn't always work? Does

anyone else have this problem.? I haven't spilled water or anything like that but when I'm texting sometimes I have to hit the "space" button a few times before it works and then sometimes it just works. I thought maybe I wasn't hitting it right, in other words maybe I was pushing on the side of the button instead of in the middle of it. Is the button just that "touchy"? I don't like this, it's annoying. I just got the phone brand new last week.
