Verizon 2 year contract plan and buying a new phone?

My 2 year contract is about to expire ( in a couple of days), and i was going to get a new phone that had a discount on it...but only on the 2 year price?
Can you get the phone for the same discount price while the contract is going on? (im on a family share plan and we might have already renewed it since my brother just got a phone).

or could your phone break and you can get a new phone for a discount price and transfer the number onto it?

i have no idea what is going on :]

its not on the verizon website, and i guess it is discontinued since i got it 2 years ago.
do i get the same amount as it was worth?

You can not get a phone at the duscounted price while the contracr is going on. if it "breaks" then they will send you the same model if it was under warranty.

calling verizon would be your best bet

you would not get a phone in return unless you have insurance. verizon isnt responsible once you have had the phone a year
