Att 1205am Christmas day, a, I saw a big ring around the full moon. I live

in Korea. What was that? I couldnt tell how large the circle was, but it was a perfect circle. It looked light a halo around the moon. Even though it was faint, it was very noticeable. I have never seenanything like that in my life. From the ground it looked like it was maybe 100 feet in diameter and the ring of the circle was about 2 feet wide.

Moon's light reflecting off ice crystals high in the atmosphere. Well known phenomenon. Check Sky & Tel, they had a recent article, or go to Space.Com, which had some amazing photos of some really elaborate stuff around the Moon.

What you saw (or thought you did ) was actually a mirage. the nick-name for this apparition is tik! With it being a lunar sighting, it is more commonly refered to as a lunar-tik! Have a great day,merry Xmas. Regards;
