heard there are new models.? Are there newer models coming and when?

The Curve has three models:
8300 = regular
8310 = regular + GPS
8320 = regular + wifi

There is no Blackberry with GPS and Wifi built in. The Curve only works on GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile. I'd get the 8320 :).

There is a new model that might be out on January 08.
"This could launch as soon as January and as late as April, although we’ve heard whispers it might even be officially announced by RIM today during their quarterly earnings report."

New Blackberry 9000 (not series) which might have a Full touch screen 3G, Wi-Fi. And will be for GSM networks.

But if you cant wait you could go for the Curve but i would go for the 8320 because of the Wi-Fi and use the Google Maps as a GPS device.

As far as the 8300 series Curve Blackberrys, there aren't any newer models being released that I'm aware of. The only new model that I know is coming out is the 8120 Pearl with wi-fi and a few other improvements over the original Pearl. The 8300 series has the 8310 with GPS and the 8320 with wi-fi. Unless RIM releases a CDMA version of the Curve(which is very possible), there aren't any newer Curve series phones being released anytime soon.
