Is PDA personal max and video share plus for the AT&T Tilt Smartphone optional?

Can I have them removed after I get the phone with AT&T plan. I plan to buy it from amazon(dot)com and they have those two features fixed into the plan. I don't want to pay .99 for the PDA Personal Max and another .99 for Video Share Plus. I don't think I can afford that.

you do not have to have either one
but you do have to have a data plan of some kind
even if it is the smaller plan for $19.99
if you get the smaller plan though don,t setup an email account on it because it will push email or check automatically which can easily go over the limit
