Should I pay for the 8GB iPhone now or wait until Christmas to get the 16GB?

I already have an 80GB iPod Classic so I don't need a lot of space on my phone. I'll probably just put 200 songs and a bunch of photos on it, but no videos.
My parents would pay for it on Christmas but I really want it now because my Voyager is all f***ed up.
I am talking about the new 3G iPhone for those who don't know.

My parents are paying the monthly bills.

Your going to be introduced to a whole new world off addicting applications and games to download, you'll want the extra space!

(But i have an 8gb and have never maxed it out, i keep about 80 songs, 250 photos, couple short videos, and right now about 30 apps, and its only a tad over half full, so you could definitely get by with the 8gb...but im greedy and always want more!)
