I don't agree that we are more communist than China (although I've never been there). I do agree that it is crazy to bail out these financial institutions by borrowing more money and further running up the national debt. Jim Rogers, David Walker, Ron Paul...they are all right, in my opinion.

Take a look at what happened before the Republican Convention. Houses of peaceful protestors were raided. People were held, and police brutalized entire comunities. That was like a scene out of a comunist country. The right wing needs to re-examine how they handle protestors, why even right wing people protest what they believe in (such as abortion, and ilegal immigrant issues) and not behave so poorly. They are not more communist than China, but in danger of becoming that which they despise. We should not let terror scare us into becoming like China. That is what he should have said.

This would not have happened if the gov wasn't running these institutions in the first place.

A run on the banks would have been unavoidable.
