Is a Jeppesen Private Pilot Manual printed in 1977 a good one to use for

learning to fly? ? I'm currently taking flying lessons to become a private pilot and I was wondering if I purchased the right book. It's a Jeppesen Sanderson Private Pilot Manual but it was published in 1977. Does that make a difference or is it good enough? I just started taking lessons and that was a good price.
or is one printed in 1994 better?
