if it helps in the book there is no Katherine..well there's an older women of Nates but its for like one book and its not the same thing at all its is lax coach's wife
Dan and Serena only date for a bit 1st maybe second book..but Serena thinks Dan is weird
Dan and Vanessa date (so there is nothing with Nate and Vanessa)
Blair does date a lord but, never does anything with chuck..Chuck never likes her
Jenny and Eric aren't friends Eric is cool and goes to Brown
Rufus band never tours
So there is similarities with the books..but u would not find spoilers by reading them..b=ut i would suggest reading them they are very good and impossible to put down so you read them fairly quickly..i read all of them last year =]
