How do i get my dog to stop barking and whining in his kennel at night?

Every time i put my dog in his crate at night, he always barks and whines. i tried putting a doggie chew in his crate but he wont chew on it, he will just bark and whine.what do i do?

You can also try putting a towel or blanket over the kennel so he doesn't see what's going on around him. Just let him go for awhile, he will eventually calm down. It took my dog about 1 hour and 45 mins. the first night he was in his kennel all night, then the second night it was and hour then the third night it only lasted 15 mins. They get use to it.

Put a blanket over the door of the kennel. This worked with my dog when he was young and now I don't have to cover him.

Don't cover the whole crate, just the door.
