Should my teacher discuss politics in class?

I'm still upset that my history teacher just randomly brought up the DNC and RNC and praised Obama for no reason. We were trying to learn about the colonies. She was trying to think of something to say. And then she just dragged politics into it for no apparent reason. Trust me, I tried to find a connection, and there was none.

I'm insulted. I don't understand why teachers drag their political views and dump them on us. Should this be stopped?

Because teachers think that they are GOD in their classroom. You could make a complaint to your principal but they will probably back up your teacher..You pretty much have to suck it up unfortunately until you leave this school..BTW it gets even worse in college with professors giving you their slant on the world.

I'm insulted when a teacher doesn't tell his political view. Teachers are people too, with you know...opinions...
