Why can't i connect to the internet? My wireless connection says 'excellent'....?

BUT my Local Area Connection says something is unplugged...(I have a dell laptop btw), I checked my systems hardware and it says the device is working properly. I have NEVER had this problem before...There are 2 other computers in the household and they both connect to the internet...Ive tried unplugging my router and plugging it back in...but nothing works. I'm sooo frustrated...PLEASE HELP...I went on vacation for a week and come back to this problem Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Im using a wireless router thats in the home if that helps...
