Myself and my partner are trying to find his son that was adopted 28 years ago. My partner is bi-racial and the birth mother is white.

They were both 17 when the baby was born and her being from a strict irish catholic family, her mother decided that their was no way she was going to have a baby so young especially one that was black.

The baby boy was born on 20th March 1980 and was given the name Joseph Horan. My partner was naive and didn't know what he could do to try to keep him. He said that he would work and raise him. But that was ignored.

He was resigned to looking at the baby through a glass window with a nurse holding him up. He wasn't even allowed to touch him.

His last memory of his son was seeing him in a corner on his own away from all the other babies and mothers.

Its been a long time now but he things about his son constantly and would lkove to meet him. We have tried forums and searches but have minimal info.

He was given the name Joseph Horan at birth
He was born in Jersey City Medical Center in NJ
His adoption might have been taken care of by Mount Carmel Guild
His birth mothers name is Eileen Frances Horan

His fathers name is Ralph Reo (He may not know this)
He was born 20th March 1980
We have found out that his name is now Daniel
Ralh and Eileen were living in Bayonne

Please if anyone can give any advice we would be very grateful
