    home theater and ps3 question.?

After buying a bravia DAV HDZ235 home theater for my LCD HD TV. I was instructed to connect an optic cable to the reciver as well as making sure the reciever and ps3 are bothe connected to the tv via hdmi cable. However, after purchasing the ps3 optic cable, I realised that there is no optic cable input in the reciever. is there any other way to gaet suround sound, for my ps3, without using an optic cable? Will I have to buy a new reciever?

    NO!!!!!

A HDMI cable carries Video AND 7.1 Surround Sound audio

HDMI stands for High Definition MULTIMEDIA Interface

You should run a HDMI from the PS3 to the receiver and then another HDMI from the receiver to the TV.

If you have any questions feel free to E-mail me.
