Ok, so I finally caught this magpie as he had a broken wing and could not fly. It all started when I had noticed him when I was walking down to the park. I think it caused him A LOT of distress and probably made his wing worst. Apparently there was also a few other magpies swooping and being mean to him. I asked my friends and they said that magpies eat other magpies. So we just could not leave him. When we finally caught him we took him to the vet. We have not got the results back, as we had to leave the bird in the vet`s care as he was busy. Now I feel bad that I took him away from his family and friends and there is a possibility that he may be euthanized. A lady said that she had seen him a couple times and said he had been ok, but I still wasn't`t sure it was such a good idea to just leave him and not to do anything about his wing. Do you think I did the right thing (I was only trying to help the poor bird)? Do you think they can fix his wing or will he need to be euthanized?
