    Hello,
I am with my family planing to visit Madhurai, Rameshwaram, Thanjavur and KanyaKumari. My plan is as bellow
    1. 6/11/2008: Leave From Bangalore and Reach Madurai on 7/11/2008 Morning by train
    2. On 7/11/2008 Visit meenakshi temple and other possible places in madurai
    3. On 8/11/2008 Visit Rameshwaram and come back to Madhurai same day by Taxi. (How much time it may take to travel, what time i may have to leave Madurai in the morning? what time I may complete Rameshwaram visit and leave back to madurai?)
Isit possible to make it less tiresome?
    4. On 9/11/2008 visit Thanjavur and caome back to Madurai same day by taxi ( How much time it may take to travel, what time i may have to leave Madurai in the morning? what time I may complete Thanjavur visit and leave back to madurai?
    5. On 10/11/2008 early morning we are leaving to KanyaKumari by train(leaves Madurai at 2:20AM) spend that day in Kanyakumari and on 11/11/2008 morning 10:30 AM leave Kanyakumari to Bangalore

As such it looks to me a very jam packed schedule, especially considering your parents are with you.

If i was in your place, i would have avoided return journey, stayed at kanyakumari and then to rameshwaram.

400 + KM per day is tiring, especially when the next day is also similar travel.

Or try to take train till KK direct, finish rameshwaram and KK come to Madurai and return.
