Problem With Families Honda Civic. Noise From Wheel?

'90 Civic. A couple days ago, I noticed a noise coming from the two front wheels. Anyway, I was listening and then I braked hard. It stopped. Then, accelerated, the noise came back and then starting braking lightly. And as you press the pedal, the noise increases. Kind of a screeching sound. Hmm... the pads haven't been replaced in a while so probably need some attention. Took the tires off, sprayed brake cleaner in there and then drove it about an hour later. Sounded good and nothing really was there. But then, a couple hours later, it started and the noise sounds worse when the pedal is pushed like the pads are indeed worn. This came out of nowhere. The car rides great, and nothing really seems bad. Just that noise. Anything you can think of? Let me know, thanks
