Does all religions use fear to control their followers?

Is fear the primary tool to keep them all in line and staying true to the "word."

All major religions have the same basic tenants ( ten commandments if you will). Weather you dance, wave incenses, jump over brooms does not matter, as long as you abide by the basic tenants. I am talking the major, very old religions not the Jehovah Witnesses, Scientology, Adventist or new sects within major religions etc. The newer ones seem to want to control. Controlling what you eat is a trite that I see often.

it's all fairytales for losers who are afraid to face mortality, all gods are equal and being good is a human value not a religious one
