Can a Verizon or Sprint Moto Q be used on Cingular?
i was looking at Ebay and see there are verizon and sprint Moto Q's for much cheaper than the ATT ones, and was wondering if i could unlock the sprint or verizon one for ATT.

thanks!
EDIT: With the knowledge of verizon running off a differnt network....would a sprint moto Q be unlockable then since it runs off the same as ATT

Verizon phones run an their own network and cannot be unlocked. Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T all run on the same network. All carriers (Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile) use SIM cards except Verizon. You can use an unlocked phone, as long as it is a GSM phone.

A Moto Q can be unlockable, however an AT&T or Sprint store will not unlock it for you. I think you can buy unlocking software on eBay. If you can find an unlocked phone, you saved yourself a step. You could buy one and then sell the locked phone and try to break even. If you don't want to do that, then you need to find someone who knows how to unlock a phone.
