I've cancelled a Rogers contract. If I try to get a Fido phone, does

Rogers and Fido share information? I want to continue to use a GSM (SIM card) phone (which basically rules out Telus or Bell), and if Fido is the only GSM game in town, I don't want Fido to know I was once a Rogers customer, or that I was unhappy with Rogers service.
