well my dad was driving a while back and somebody ran into the back of his 1964 f100 and its the far back spot on the side

u can tell where the long piece of metal meets the back end part that the tailgate latches onto

ive tried looking simple things to do but im not sure that they work for such think steel

the den isnt creased really hard but its about 2 feet long and about a foot and a half tall. but its really weird because where it starts to go back up from the lowest part of the dent towards the back, its much shorter then where it heads toward the front.

so the dent isnt exactly symmetrical

anything i could do to get that dent out? i cant take it anywhere because i want it to be a suprise and i dont have the keys. ive tried using a rubber mallet but since i cant move the truck, its too hard, i cant get enough power behind it to actually do anything

thanks in advance
well if i dont fix it he will leave it in storage for the rest of his life.... its either fix it or fail trying
