Can I transfer my American driver's license to an Australian driver's license?

I'm an Australian-American currently living in the United States. I'll be returning to Australia soon and would like to know if i can transfer my Florida driver's license to an Australian (NSW) driver's license.

I've never driven in Australia, so i'm sure it will take some getting use to...... but will i have to take a driving test? Or get my L's? I want to avoid having to record 100+ hours of driving just to go for my driving test.

Does anybody know how it works?

I just moved to Australia and found out that you can get a regular NSW driver license if you have proof of like 5 years + of driver experience in US. So get some documents that can prove that from your DMV.
