I bought a radio from Allders of Croydon on 20th July and took it back the next day as it kept cutting out intermittently.

I was refused a refund or even an exchange as they claimed it was not faulty. The manufacturer rang them to suggest offering me an exchange as they felt there was a fault with the radio. Allders sales staff's comeback was to offer to put it in a office for 2 days "to test it".

I ended up posting the radio back to the manufacturer (they paid the carriage) and they sent me out a replacement. With the replacement was a repair docket saying they had found a joint that had not been soldered properly.

I would be interested to know if anyone else has had the same problem if they have had to return faulty goods to Allders?

Needless to say I won't be buying anything else from them ever again.
