it to use on Maxis Malaysia? It's already preloaded with 2.0 software. That's all I know about it. There's so many blogs, websites abt how to unlock & it's totally confusing. How do I actually unlock a 8gb iphone with 2.0 software?

What's the difference between firmware & software? I've read some steps to unlock,but I have to confirm the firmware first via some digits on the iphone emergency calls? I don't see that feature on the iphone? What gives?
