...(Read)? Because of my step-mum, I feel like a failure. She's never once praised me, and just earlier I told her that I wanted to be a nurse. Instead of being supportive, she just said, "No, you'll never be able to be a nurse, trust me." I get above average grades in most subjects at school, but I still feel like I'm not good enough at anything because of her. She says I can never do a lot of things, but I want to prove her wrong one day. I wonder if I really am not good enough. Maybe she just likes to put me down to make herself feel good. What am I supposed to believe?
