What is the bolt pattern for a 2001 Audi tt coupe quattro?

someone told me they put aftermarket rims on their audi and they had problems with alignment until they installed some kind of center piece to the inside of the rim. Does anyone know about this? What is the bolt patter for a 2001 tt coupe quattro?

The bolt pattern for your vehicle is 5X112.
The "alignment" problem is actually a vibration problem. The part installed was probably a hub ring to bring down the size of the center bore. Because aftermarket wheels are produced in mass quantities, the center bore will usually be as large as possible to fit a wider variety of vehicles. Hub rings are needed to make the center bore smaller so the hole in the center of the wheel will rest against your vehicle. If hub rings are not used, the weight of the vehicle will rest against your vehicle's studs. For example: The center bore for an aftermarket wheel for your Audi will most likely be 74.1mm, 73.1mm, or 66.56mm. Your vehicle will require a hub ring to bring the center bore down to 57.1mm.
