What do you think about people that try to get laid/pick up other people at bars?

Last night I was at a club in the bathroom and heard some girls talking about some "muscular hot guy". I washed my hands.. included myself in the conversation, and said "you never want to pick up guys at a bar". 3 of the girls ignored me.. one girl looked at me and said "there's no way I'd do that. ever". Turns out she's friends with my friend.

What do you think about picking up girls/guys at a bar?

Where else are you supposed to pick someone up? According to dork tradition You can't date your friends' siblings and Don't shit where you eat (don't date people you work with). Also apparently everybody on the internet is weird Uncle Chester. Now this?
