no, robin wouldn't fit with Nolan's series, and Robin ruins everything

No, i think the character is too cheesy and would hamper the current mood they have established ...
besides, I think Christian Bale is wonderful in the part and have heard he has sworn to quit as batman if they try to add Robin ...

Not yet. So far Bruce Wayne hasn't gotten comfortable being Batman. He would be a lousy mentor right now. He needs a couple of movies that show him settling into Batman, growing into it, and BEING Batman, instead of griping about it half the time he's on screen.
Until the writers get Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne settled and matured into Batman, Robin would just be an annoyance to Bruce and to the viewers.
