if fish oil is good for the brain, are sardines in oil healthy

i like sardines but they're packed in vegetable oil...is the fish oil still in the fish or do i buy it in capsules?

they are very oily fish to begin with, so yes, the oil in the fish is healthy, even packed in vegitable oil. sardines are also packed with a lot of salt, which is in general considerd unhealthy. It would best to get the fish oil from pills or better yet, fresh fish.
