...intermediate size suv i.e. rav4? An intermediate SUV such as a rav4, hyundai santa fe, ford escape. I'd like to rent one of these. A twin mattress is 39" wide x 75" length in size.

Check kbb.com. Go to the Specifications page after you select make, model etc. It will give you cargo area measurments. If you are just renting it, just try to rent a full-sized SUV. Try to get a Large Full-Sized SUV (ie Suburban, Yukon XL, Excursion etc) over the regualr full-sized SUVs as they will have a larger cargo area. After all, you are only renting it so fuel economy will not be as big of a factor as it would be if you were buying one.
