If your new phone is an unlocked phone the sim from old phone will work.Otherwise if the new phone won't accept the sim from old phone and asks for unlock code or says "invalid sim" its a locked phone.You have to unlock it from network lock..To unlock your LG VU phone get code from Onlinegsmunlock.com/lg-vu/rs7wp9/ and unlock it easily.
