What is this card game called?

I think the game is called "mahoney" or "5 card mahoney". You can play with 2 decks and up to 7 people (unless you add another deck). You play cards in 2 or more "pairs" in your own pile and you can "steal" other peoples piles if they aren't "protected". When you lay your cards down, one pile goes on top of the previous pile which "protects" that cards under it.

Does anyone know what thats called or even what I'm talking about?
