Was James Stewart the most racist celebrity of all time?

I mean, not even John Wayne had an actor fired just for being black.
Because the biographies by Dewey, Munn and Eliot all confirm how the right-wing actor had actor Hal Williams fired from his show in 1971 just because the guy was black. Even Leonard Gershe, Henry Fonda and Woody Strode all confirmed Stewart was just as racist as his father before him.

It's amazing to me how badly some people want to destroy reputations. The previous poster just spewed form some very idiotic dribble that simply amount to stupid, baseless lies about a pretty decent person.

Woody Strode said on numerous occasions that Stewart was perfectly fine to him, and he saw no hint of racism. John Ford was known for trying to pit his actors against one another, and he asked Jimmy what he thought of Woody's make up and costume (The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance) in the scene when they're there for Tom's (the John Wayne character) funeral. Jimmy said that he thought it looked like a caricature. He said he felt it looked a little too "Uncle Remus." At this point, Ford (this entire story has been confirmed by the main players, and almost the entire cast of the movie) shouted to everyone that Jimmy Steward had called Woody Strode (6'6'' and a former pro football player) racially insensitive names.

He then walked off, trying to make Stewart look embarrassed. It didn't work. ANYONE who knew Stewart (including Strode) knew better than to think he was racist. He never showed any signs.

Neither the Munn, Dewey, OR Eliot bios are any good. They're well known to be FULL of inaccuracies and out right lies. They’ve all three been discredited by people who knew Jimmy Stewart up close and personal. All they do is "parrot" what Jimmy's "friend" Gershe claimed, and by the way, Hal Williams said the TV firing incident NEVER happened. To even suggest that Henry Fonda said Jimmy Stewart was a racist, or said racist things is absolute B.S.

If you want to know who Stewart was, go to his friends. Was he perfect? God no, but he was smart, kind considerate, and one hell of a guy.

Wrong! Strode said Stewart was a HUGE racist. James Stewart was of the most racist men who ever lived, as Hal Williams has said on many, many occasions.

.

You mean drivel, not dribble.

...nice to whom, his "white" friends? And one heck of a guy or racist guy? Other people don't destroy reputations, the do it themselves.
