Okay so here's the story:
It doesn't have to be an Impulse phone; You can put any phone on prepaid except smartphones and touch screen phones, and apparently the enV3.
All you have to do is put in ESN number of the phone online on the switch phones page.

On the Verizon website, log in to your account.
Go to the "My Services" tab next to the "Overview" tab in your account.
Next to the picture of your phone will be a few options - select "Change Your Prepaid Phone" and follow the instructions it gives you.
Simple !
