In the 1960's and early 70's, could you go to a car dealer a just pay cash and be

done? for example, if i wanted to buy a 1969 camaro ss, could i go to a dealer that had one and just give them cash for it and be done. or would i have to go through the process like buying a car today?

You could go in and pay cash, but you'd still have to get the transference of title filled out while there.
