I have a dog that is four years old. He is half St. Bernard and half Australian Shepard. He and his litter mates were a breeder's mistake. She had a papered Australian Shepard older female and was going to start raising Saint Bernards so had purchase a S.B. male. The male impregnated the female when he was just 6 months old. The breeder was shocked and quickly got rid of the pups as soon as they were old enough.
He is beautiful. A little smaller than a St. Bernard at 115 lbs. He has light blue eyes like an aussie shepard. He is house broken and loves children. We'd like to find him a home with some land so that he can have a bit of freedom.
We are moving to a house with a tiny yard and a fish pond. We cannot take him. I live in Manteca, Ca which is in the central part of California. I have never had to do this before and am unsure as to the best way to go about it. Does anyone know if there is any kind of an organization that helps find new owners for big dogs?
