Having Problems getting my truck to pass inspection?

I recently had a 1996 S-10 pickup with a 2.2 4 cyl engine standard transmission left to me. I put the truck on the road and took it in to get it inspected. Several of the systems needed (evap, HO2 sensor, egr system) are all coming up not ready so the vehicle will not pass. The local shop said it was because it needed to be driven more so here I am 600 miles later and the systems still are not ready. The one reading I do get is p0113 which is the IAT sensor reading high but I am getting that replaced and he said that should not be keeping the other systems from being ready to scan. Anyone ran into this before?

are you taking to while the motor is cold that may be what they are talking about... as the motor needs to be up to running temperature, before the test well take so every thing is running..
    good luck
