can I get internet connection without landline?

I have a laptop and would like to get Broad band internet connection without a landline telephone. Curently I use DSL conncetion along with a landline. but now i wish to get another cell phone and get rid of the landline...can you help me with some more information.
I called my current proider - at&t ...they said need to apply for a dryline or something like that.
I am quite confused.
